Spring Spirit!

Wow what a response WBCR-LP received from our listeners during our Strictly Slambovian slot last Sunday for our Spirit of Spring FUNdrive--the phones kept on ringing all night! We would like to once again thank all of our listeners for helping keep the station (and us) on the air :) We also were thrilled that the band was able to call and fill us in on the Slambovian happenings during their hiatus from the road including up to four (yes, that's right!) new albums. As for our DJ portion of the evening, we played from two 2009 shows, October 10 at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY and September 19 from the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA. Listen up and join the excitement that was in the studio!

FUNdrive Time!

Hey guys, it's almost that time again here at WBCR-LP - our twice-a-year FUNdrive (emphasis on the FUN), when we beseech our community to help keep our humble station (and Strictly Slambovian) on the airwaves. The Spirit of Spring Fundrive will run from Saturday 4/21 - Sunday 4/29 and all the money we raise will go towards our basic operating expenses - electricity, phone, rent...as always, we are an all-volunteer, listener-supported, non-commercial community radio station.
