And The Winner Is...
Another month has come and we're back again! For those who chose watching the Oscar Awards over listening to our radio show, we forgive you--this time. This month we went back to 2010 and played a bit from the May 30th show at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, NY and from July 2nd at Great Barrington's very own Guthrie Center. Both of these shows came on the heels of the bands return from the UK and feature diverse setlists. And no, your radio isn't skipping and you are not experiencing deja vu--it's just Jeanne getting a double dose of High On A Hilltop. And in preparation for the revival of Aesop's Fables at Circle in the Square Theatre in NYC, we played 4 of Joziah's songs from last year's Fat Horse & Slim production. We also said goodbye to Theodore Mann, co-founder of the Theatre and its school who passed away last week at the age of 87. RIP.

And Now A Brief Intermission...
As you may or may not yet have heard, the band is taking a much needed touring hiatus for a couple/few months. Fear not though, in January's [yet again] time-shortened but fun-packed broadcast, we play several songs from the last pre-hiatus gig from the Tupelo Music Hall in White River Junction, VT and also travel back to 2011 for some Philly festivities at the annual New Year's Eve/Eve World Cafe Live show. And you certainly won't want to miss our special in-studio guest Renee Harvitt and her touching rendition of "Fumes" on electric guitar! The stream of that song along with a seamless version of the 2012-01-07 performance of "Look Ma No Hands"--we had some on-air tech issues playing this one--is right at the top of this page :)
That leads us into our next agenda item: we would like to make an open call for homespun Slambovian covers to be played on a future Strictly Slambovian show! Are you a musician or know a fellow fan who is? Help us spread the word! If you have the technological wherewithal to record your version somehow, we'd love to play it on our show. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please contact us at our new email: strictlyslambovian@gmail.com and we will work out the details. If you are an actual songwriter, we would also gladly play one of your original (radio-friendly of course) songs on the air as well!
Until next month...
